Description： Expanded PTFE Gasket Tape is made from 100% virgin PTFE and is flexible and conforms easily to irregular surfaces. Additionally it is easily compressed and exhibits excellent resistance to creep and cold flow. EPTFE offers excellent chemical resistance and is rated to temps from -450 F to +500 F.
Application: Due to its excellent malleability and adaptability – is particularly well suited to compensate for irregularities or damage on sealing areas, as well as for all stress-sensitive joints. Because of it’s compression stability, it’s extremely well suited as a gasket material for narrow sealing areas and in all applications where a defined gasket width (under load) is required. Typical applications are enamelled and glass flanges, heat exchangers, large flanges and containers, pressure vessels, suction filters and strainers, etc.
